Welcome to North East Nomads — a travel blog about adventure, freedom and exploring the world from the North East of England.

We’re Jonathan and Debbie, a couple who love discovering new places, meeting new people and sharing the journey along the way.

Our adventures take us across Europe and the UK, whether that’s flying off to the sunshine or hitching up the caravan and heading out on the open road.

How It Started

Like many people, we love travelling. But over time we realised that the journey itself is just as exciting as the destination.

What started as a few trips abroad and weekends away has turned into something bigger — a lifestyle built around exploring new places whenever we can.

That’s how North East Nomads was born.

A way to document our travels, share the experience, and hopefully inspire others to get out there and explore.

Where We Travel

Our adventures regularly take us across Europe, especially to some of our favourite destinations including:

• Spain

• Crete

• Cyprus

• Turkey

• Romania

But some of our best adventures are much closer to home.

With our caravan, we travel around the UK, exploring coastlines, national parks, hidden campsites and small towns that most tourists never see.

Sometimes the best journeys are only a few hours from home.

Caravan Life

One of the things we love most is the freedom of caravan travel.

No strict schedules.
No airport queues.
Just the road ahead and wherever it leads.

From quiet countryside escapes to lively camping festivals and coastal stays, the caravan lets us experience the UK in a completely different way.

It’s not always glamorous — but that’s part of the adventure.

Sharing the Journey

We created North East Nomads to share our experiences and document our travels as they happen.

From ferry crossings and flights to hidden restaurants, campsites and unforgettable views, we want to show the real side of travelling — the good, the chaotic and everything in between.
